iPhone 3GS running 4.3.3.

I came back down the M1 last night and I had the night colours selected, but the display was unchanged. Bright Day colours.

Have I done something wrong? Is it a bug? Am I too daft to be let out alone? Should I have read the manual more closely?

Apple do not allow any custom map tiles to be used so the night mode only effects the list view.

Currently night mode is not really that effective if you want to view in map mode as the map is mainly shown on a light / white background, which cannot be changed.

However if you go into the main settings / general / accessibility menu on the iPod, and then set the 'White on Black' option to 'On', you then get all the colours inverted, which results in quite a reasonable night coloured map on a black background.

If you goto Iphone/settings/General/AccessibilityTripleclickhome/ and select toggle White on Black,

Then when you are using Camera alert and you want nightime, just press home button quickly three times, and it will toggle light to dark.

rather than have to go to settings each time, this would be quicker. all of iphone goes from white to black.

Very Happy
