how to get rid of voice control icon on a 940

Hi guys, i have a go 940 and i don’t know how to get rid of the semi circle speech icon that sits in the top right hand of the screen, it is very distracting as it covers the road description !
i have had a look at all the settings with no success, any help would be greatly appreciated !

I don't think I know that icon... unless you mean the BIG semicircular "level meter" that waggles when you speak?

If it's that, then it certainly shouldn't be there all the time.

If it's something else, any chance of a screenshot of it or a better description?

Presume you've already tried a reset? (by holding down the power switch for about 20 seconds until you hear the drum roll sound).
