If they insisted on a monthly sub I would probably go with one of the bigger boys like Snooper.

Having said that though I would more than likely dust off my old TT1 and just use the Db from here.

If any of the SatNav manufacturers designed an 'active mount' similar to that you can get for phones then I would likely swap now. All that palarva of having to poke a small power adapter into a tiny hole at the bottom or back of the SatNav in the dark I used to find a drag.

Do they - I've not been paying attention Smile

Any recommendations?

I already have a built in SatNav so this one doesn't need to be in line of sight.

The latest GO 100x's have docking mounts. I've always used Carcomm cradles with my earlier TomTom's and Brodit offer a range of active cradles for many PNDs.

A basic TomTom or Garmin, when combined with our data, would be an ideal and cheap speed camera detector, better than anything Snooper or Road Angel could offer.

A TomTom using TomToms data would be next to pointless Rolling Eyes

As an alternative, given that you already have a fitted satnav, what about simply adding an Inforad K1, K2 or K0? Change out of fifty quid and free PGPSW updates.

I considered an Inforad but none of them have an actual speed display.

I did email Inforad some months ago and they said the C1 was coming to the UK late 2010 - still waiting Sad

The new Novus site now has the downloads updated to new version so it looks like they are still in business. Any info on why the new site/name etc, it certainly looks as if they have sold out or been taken over?
