What happens when some of the tyres on the vehicle are worn and others are new I've no idea. Rolling Eyes

Thats one of the reasons a car is fitted with a differential to compensate for different wheel speeds, usually when cornering but they also get to work taking out different diameter tyres on driven wheels, for non driven wheels it really doesn't matter.

Basic point to remember is that the GPS speed will be considerably more accurate that any vehicle fitted speedo under most driving conditions, the notable exception being while inside a tunnel - Mike

It still seems reasonable to me that worn tyres will give different mph readings to new tyres.
