Congrats Mark.

It was hard work but good fun in equal measure and, for an idea dreamt up at short order it turned out much better than we had hoped.

A huge thank you to the sponsors. We may plan ahead next year and see what we can come up with to better this year.

But first we'll need to make some money to pay the bills!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I had a Happy Christmas and now sure to have a Wonderful New Year thank's to PGPSW and their free competition.

A nice new shiny TomTom Via LIVE on it's way to me.

I haven't used TT since v5 so it will be interesting to see how it's advanced. Have to get down to learning how to add cameras and maps etc. But am I complaining? No, no, no!

Thanks to everyone at PGPSW for all the work they put into the site, to make it Number 1, and I wish you and all members a Very Happy and Peaceful 2011.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

erm... you can't add custom POIs to the VIA...

well, at least not until the end of January when TomTom have promised to add the functionality!

I was reading the on-line pdf manual as your mail arrived.

Thanks MaFt, that's point one. Or maybe point one is 'Backup, backup, backup'.

I have a feeling there will be many more questions from me in the near future.

Oh, it looks like I have a lot to learn. I'm still reading the pdf and reading about voice commands etc. At least I will have a lot of help from members here, until they get fed up with my questions. Sad

To be fair, the VIA Live is actually a pretty decent device. Live traffic is great, the whole device is easy to use and it's nicely made. It's just a shame there's no back up option, MyTomTom (aka Home 3) is practically useless and you can't add any custom POIs...

It does confirm though that people are assuming that the new devices will be similar to previous TT devices they might have had, and are not examining the 'small print'.

Still using my trusty iGO8 at the moment as I'm still waiting for my prize to be delivered. Maybe, as it's a TT, it's got lost somewhere. Razz

Yours is coming from TomTom direct. They've only just returned to work so we'll need to give them a little longer Smile
