I noticed yesterday that if I follow the A414 eastbound via the A1M then CamerAlert does not spot that I have left an average speed camera zone on the first slip north of the Hatfield tunnel. Continued to show an average speed until I reset the app next time I stopped driving.

so, driving north on the A1M, turning off onto the A414 at J4?

if you redownload then this should be fixed.

thanks

MaFt

ps - you can press the 'speedo' button at any time to manually start/stop the average speed.

I have had this same problem last week driving through a long stretch of 50mph average cameras on the M1 (the roadworks just north of the M25), it does not realise when the restriction has ended & there is no easy way to submit an "end of restriction" to be included in the database. I think this was on v1.2.1 (I've now upgraded to 1.2.2).

You can just tap on the 'average speed' number which will clear it, without having to reset the app

You can either submit the end specs with a note or email cameras[at]pocketgpsworld.com and explain the issue.

The average speed monitoring does not cancel if I leave at J20 M25 north for A41 Aylesbury, mid SPECS zone, and I have to manually stop it by pressing the speedo button.
Shouldn't the distance / alerting setup realise I have left the zone and cancel the monitoring?

Yes but no-one is perfect. If we don't have an 'END' camera recorded as such then this happens. Report it and we will fix it.

Thanks for the reply Darren, but as far as I know the SPECS zone continues north around the M25 therefore the camera I pass on exit is not an END one, it's just that if I leave the zone part way, for example at J20, the average speed monitoring continues until I cancel it.

Yes, but where it's possible to exit an M-Way mid way through a set of SPECS, we add an exit marker to cancel the average speed calcs. So if we have missed one, we need to know.
