Further to my posts earlier in the year, my 930T has started rebooting each time I turn it on again.
I get the symbol of data being written to the memory and then it reboots and all is well. I have tried the flash tool, but it hasn't worked.
I am now fed up with it doing this and have decided to format the device and reinstall as per advice given previously.
I have a question however, I have various back ups done via explorer saved on my computer, so if I format the device and then copy back an early back up will I be able to download from Tomtom my latest maps again?
I have the latest maps guarantee for 18 months, but if I've already downloaded them once, can I do it again?
If anyone has any further advice as to what may be causing the rebooting, I'd be grateful for ideas.

I used the clear flash tool on my 930 and it seems to have fixed the rebooting which I had on every journey.

First I cut and pasted all my 930 files to my PC, then ran the clear flash tool twice, and just copied all my files back from the PC to the 930.

Thanks for that technik. I bit the bullet, did another backup, formatted the drive and copied the data back.
For the first time in many months, it worked faultlessly this morning.
Can't understand why the above operation would apparently fix the fault though! After all, exactly the same files were copied back after the format Confused

I'll join you technik, mine rebooted on way home last night at start up, and again this morning.
Anyone, know of a resolution?
I guess it's a format and reinstall of the original files and take it from there, didn't really want to do that tough Crying or Very sad

I can't say that I have the same problems that you are having but if I did, would be tempted to try the following -

1) Make (yet) another backup on to your PC.
2) Delete all folders and files from the TomTom.
3) Format TT and apply ClearFlash 3 times.
4) Connect to TT Home and let it install the latest version of NavCore (OR search these GPS Forums for the keyword "navcore" by whitepilgrim to find a list of alternatives from mikealder - 4th post down).
5) Copy back to your TT from the PC your Map folders.
6) Appy ClearFlash 3 times again. ( I come from the Belt'n'Braces camp!)
7) Run your TT like this for a few days and then, if OK, gradually add back your other folders i.e. mp3, photos, etc.

You shall probably lose all of your settings trying this.

Have you got the rds-tmc connected? After months of trouble-free operation, I have found that mine is causing some instability in getting a gps location and causing it to 'hop about' in trying to identify my location. I've stopped using it and the 530 now operates normally. I did not experience rebooting, but am wondering if something has changed with the rds-tmc? I recall a change of ownership being mentioned, but am not sure if this applied to the UK?

I'll try the rds as I always have that plugged in. However, I think I'm resigned to doing a complete reinstall.
Will home, if I use it , reinstall my maps from scratch after a format or do I copy across my original back up (many moons ago) and then let Home update it?
Will I have problems with validation/activation?

Formatted the drive over the weekend, then connected to Home and let TomTom reinstall the software and maps. Went faultlessly!!
Installed my POI's and favourites, downloaded latest cameras from here.
All working again!!!!
