Sometimes when running the CamerAlert App, I notice my iPhone screen go 'dim' and very dark, as if it is saving battery power, you can only just see a faint map in the back bround.
Much as thic may be a good feature, when the next carera is announced, the Screen does not light up.
Is this a bug or a feature, if a feature, please can you explains its functionality.
It think it mostly happens after i have started the iPod in the background. But it does not happen every time. _________________ Drive-Smart-01, DS Pulse Master

i believe this is a feature of the iphone itself. we don't change the brightness at all.
do you have cameralert set to 'Prevent standby'? what iphone settings do you have for brightness/auto-brightness and auto-lock?
the reason i ask is that i don;t use 'auto-lock' and have also never had the dimming issue (although others have). i know there has been a long-standing bug in the iphone's software that using apples official code for preventing standby doesn't always work correctly so i think this may be the issue.
can you try changing the iphone settings to 'auto-lock - never' and see if you get the same dimming?
