hi all trying to get some poi on my android phone on mobile sygic maps 10 ,i can do it from a text file ,but how do i get the text file from say an ov2 file please,as i cannot findnd any upi files easily but can find ov2 files easily thanks

POIEdit can convert many file types...

Another option for you is to download the POI files in "csv" format as these are in fact text files, try downloading one and opening it with Notepad and you will see what I mean Wink - Mike

thanks for that managed to get hold off ov2upi 2,9 which works ok its just that the icon doesnt work ah well half way there

Icons can only be 8 bit colour depth in order for them to work with Sygic - Mike

how do i know what colour depth they are in

Using Windows Explorer - Right Click the file and choose Properties.

Select the Summary Tab.

The Bit Depth is shown on 5th line. Most paint packages can change it.
