SatNav and iPad?

Which is probably why all the other apps that I've seen mentioned will load just fine on an iPad. I suppose it could simply be a coding issue, since it will track, but not update your route. I thought perhaps it was a gps chip problem since the TomTom app complains that it needs to "connect to GPS" in the title bar area and never does show as connected.
