Connect freeze, can't control the unit

I have a six month old Nissan Note with the Connect system. Worked perfectly until now.
Today the connect system froze (after an incoming phone call), no buttons or knobs work, on the unit or on the steering wheel. When connecting an iPod, it plays but there is no way to select song or adjust volume. Or change to map or any other function for that matter.
When disconnecting the iPod it plays radio fm, still no control of station or volume. (The radio was on when that last incoming call came.)
Can't make phone calls, but it connects to my Ericson phone when the phone is turned on.
Tried this, no change:
1. Released and inserted card.
2. Removed and replaced audio fuse.
3. Turned off and on the car.

Is there a way to reset the damned thing? Only way to drive now is with removed audio fuse, it gets silent but that is obviously not what I want...

I have had a similar problem with the Connect unit in my two week old Qashqai.
The unit keeps rebooting or freezing.
Luckily all I have had to do to sort out the freezing problem is to turn the ignition off and then back on, obviously not an option when driving.
It has even rebooted whilst reversing using the reversing camera.
Took it back to the dealer today and they have ordered a replacement unit as mine apparently has an 'internal fault'.
As yours is only six months old perhaps you should go back to your dealer with the problem.
