When using Camera Manager on my home pc using Windows XP all working fine. When using Vista on laptop, CM cannot see that I am logged into website. Now upgraded to Windows 7 at home and now have the same problem. Checked firewall and turned off and on Compatability View in IE8, refreshed screen using Ctl+F5, all to no avail. Would be greatful for some help before the next camera database update. Oh, happy new year to all.
Regards

Windows 7 protected mode stops applications from piggybacking on IE to talk to the internet.

Go to pocketgpsworld.com in Internet Explorer 8
If you can see the status bar double click 'Internet | Protected Mode :On
(If you can't see the status bar go to Tool - Internet Settings - Security)
Click on Trusted
Click on Sites
The address should be pre-filled in the add field (if not add http://www.pocketgpsworld.com )
Untick Require Server Authentication

OK out of all options

Camera Manager will now be allowed to use IE to download the files.

I did tell Ash10 this when beta testing the report but I don't know if anything was done (as he'd have to integrate the web browser into the program to get around this, easy in C# but I don't know what language he is using)

(As a site note, are you serious PGPSW that you can't use a triangular bracket *at all* in a post?!?)

It's more to do with the board software being used than a decision by PGPSW. Something to do with HTML code i suspect....

the easiest way to stop malicious html code being posted in the forums is simply to block the < and > symbols. it works!
