I have a really frustarting problem; I have d/l and unzipped the UK TomTom OV2 [UK - Speed Zoned Complete] into my TT Map of UK & Ireland folder, I have d/l and unzipped the "Nick" vioce alerts file into the same folder on my TT. Next I hit Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI. I select say, pocketgps uk gatso 30 from the list, select warn when closer than 300m, say yes to is this the sound I want, tick warn only if POI on route, and then I get thrown back to the manage POI screen without having the chance to select an alert!! BTW if I select say Airport from the POI list I get offered the list of TT sounds and alerts I have d/l from the pocketgps site.
What am I doing wrong pls? |

The voice alert files you have loaded are named in such a way that the software picks them up automatically, there is no need to select them the device does this association on its own, give it a try on the road or use Route Demo to prove its working OK (it will be) - Mike |

There's a note about this on the voice installation instructions page:
Quote: | Version 7/8 Note:
With the arrival of Version 7 & now 8 there is a small bug/change that affects the procedure. If you have installed the .ogg file packs you will be asked to choose a sound but will not be offered any options, this is normal. You will be asked 'Is this the sound you want?'. You should answer Yes on this screen. |
As Mike says, just carry on with the set-up and it should work, but if this slight confusion bothers you, continue down that instructions page and use "Method 2" instead. |
