can I use the Pocket GPS World Voice Alerts (Garmin Format) with a zumo 550?

Yes, you can. I have the 550 and the voice alerts work just fine - I have a female voice for UK travel and a male voice for driving in Continental Europe.

Be aware though, that if you continue to drive over the speed limit when approaching a safety camera, either fixed or mobile, the voice alert will warn you over and over again and not shut up until you drop below the limit for that stretch of road and its camera.

Makes a safer driver out of me, I have a short fuse and there's a limit to how many times I'll tolerate being told, "Mobile camera ahead. Speed limit 40 miles per hour". I slow down mainly to shut her up!
