Hello all,

Finally figured out the reason i couldnt post is due to zone alarm... gives me a blank page when clicking on new topic Laughing Out Loud

anyway, i rang up navman because i needed an extra licence to my smart st v1, and after talking to the guy, i have now purchased smart st v2 for £39 because ive had the navman under a year. not bad eh?

one thing he said was that smart st v2 needed to ideally be run on 128mb ram ipaqs and via an SD. what do you guys think? im about to build a 5550 for myself but before i go and buy a board for it... i want to know if its really not going to work or be very slow on the 3970 i have now.

i'm probably going to have tomtom (latest) and smart st 2 on the ipaq because one thing that caught my eye was this website offering the POI for speed cams and other items. shame i cant have this in smart st 2 because the program is very good.

cheers

I run SmartST V2 on a 3970 without any problems, using either a CF card or an SD card, but I did adjust the memory settings for more programme RAM and less storage RAM. Routing is slightly slower than on my 5555, but re-routing etc. isn't an issue as far as I can tell.
