S80 update compatibility problem

I purchased my Navman S80 in July and so did not qualify for the free update offer.

Two days ago I saw on the Navman store website that the new 2009 Western Europe update was available. Before purchasing I confirmed that the S80 was on the list of compatibile units.

The disc arrived today. When I try to install the new maps I get an error message that the disc is not compatible with my SatNav, despite the disc packaging listing the S80 as compatible. On rechecking the NavMan website the S80 has been removed from the compatibility list.

I phoned Navman and they were not aware of a problem and are looking into it.

Has anyone else had this problem or found a solution?

Originally, the S80 appeared on the compatibility list, but it was later removed, (after I had purchased).
Navman have now admitted that it is not compatible and they are currently testing a new version. However if the time it is taking to get the refund is anything to go by, I won't be holding my breath!
