Is iPhone 3G 8GB usable with Nav apps?

I have iPhone 3G (not S!) 8GB. Is 4GB available memory enough to install and run any of the iPhone Nav apps? Can slower 3G CPU cope with map redraws, route recalculation, etc.? Anyone has experience running same Nav app on both 3G and 3Gs?

i have an 8gb 3g with igo (western europe), sygic (western europe) and copilot (uk) on it along with about 1gb of other apps.

it's fine :D

the only 'issue' you may have is when installing one of the bigger apps (ie full europe maps) you need twice as much space for temporary storage during installation. even though the app may be 1.4gb you will need around 2gb of free space to install. i got around this by first removing 1.5gb music then installing the app(s) then resyncing the music after.

As MaFt says you will have no problems ,I am running all four at the moment , so I should not get lost!!
