I have a 530 and today going to work my unit showed an accident on the M25 clockwise between junctions 10 and 11. It seemed strange as there was nothing when I passed.
This evening and the same traffic information is shown even after reseting and forcing a traffic update.
Tonight I ran a disk check on the device and tried again but the old data is still there?

Are others having the same problem?

Anyone know what file contains the traffic info so that I can delete it to see if that helps?

The traffic data isn't stored on the device, if you are using the RDS-TMC system for traffic data then there can be delays transmitted to the device that are out of dat by the odd hour or so.

No Traffic system will ever work 100%, if the motorway gantry information signs match to the information on the device hit the re-route otherwise I tend to ignore what the device is telling me - Mike

I download the traffic information via a bluetooth connection to my mobile.
Are you sure a file isnt saved anywhere?

The traffic info I have is certenly very old. For it to be out of date at 0630am and then to still be showing the exact same information at 6pm there must be something wrong.

Actually, its quite normal! :O

There was an incident about a year ago when the Morpeth floods hit my area of Northumberland, where the A720 near Edinburgh flooded too. For several months after, the RDS-TMC traffic system showed this piece of busy A road to be 'closed due to flooding' when it was only shut for a day.

Despite numerous reports, the incident was broadcast to all RDS-TMC users around here. It has now gone, but just shows the infallibility of the system!
