I would have to add manually POIs on all 'corners' or main roads circling the congestion charge???

Thanks Tim,

I would be surprised if no private, Garmin reseller or Garmin UK themselves had nod done it before.
Hey, that's an idea. Who's interested? Laughing

Garmin don't provide an SDK for private users (shame on them), so that one is out.

I doubt if Garmin would do it themselves as they'd be obliged to give it away as opposed to sell it.

Software developers' kit. Garmin has one, because it allows other countries to make maps that Garmin can't, or can't be bothered to, make.

And the above somewhat flies in the face of the 'a dedicated GPS Nav system is better than a PDA one' argument doesn't it? Thanks to TomTom's SDK we have Safety Camera Alerts and full UK PostCode navigation, neither of which are available to StreetPilot users Wink

If prices of TomTom GO go down enough and if it includes functionalities featured by TomTom Navigator 3 for example (POIs, Traffic), I think that the market will go towards more and more dedicated GPS.

But it's not the right thread for that.
