TOM TOM on palm devices

Silly question:
Is is possible to purchase just the software and load it on my HP Ipaq 4700?
I am going to the US and Europe next year and wish to use my hand held. I currently have aviation GPS software on it and it works well.

Palm software was discontinued some years back. Other than second-hand software with outdated maps there is no other option.
