Im just about to convert my music using easy CD-DA Extractor,Im sure i read somewhere that they should be ripped at 192 kb but i can find that thread.Am i right?

You should be OK with 192 but avoid 320 as this causes problems with playback speed with the music sounding slightly off-key and slightly slower than it should be - Mike

I've found 256 does the same, Mike.

The low quality stuff (128) plays fine though.

128 min, 192 max (anything higher is just a waste, anything lower sounds poor)

i agree and personally go for 160kbps ripped with mediamonkey (uses LAME)

For audiobooks I rip at variable bit rate 32kbs to 128kbs and can't notice the difference (I know music is a different matter) using Alto MP3 Gold - enables me to fit 10+ discs on to 1 mp3 disc if I want to play them in the cars cd player.

Hi

All i have to say is thanks the music quality sounds great Very Happy ,Its just the same as if i had a cd in the car,I found a blank station and off i went it took a couple of times to find a decent frequency,All i need to get now is the remote Smile
