Having downloaded and installed the latest database I have a question.

I have set all the recommended distances as suggested, however when I download a new update do I have to go through the same routine or will my Tom Tom 740 remember my previous settings?

Thanks in advance.... Smile

When we publish updates (as we have just done) then you just copy the new files across, you do not need to re-configure the settings.

As Darren says just copy the new OV2 files over and it should all work OK. It might also be worth making a backup of the mapsettings.cfg file too, because if the warnings do go screwy you can copy this back to the unit to fix it.

Thanks for the help. Would a full backup be the best thing to do?
