Brave or stupid?

I downloaded it earlier and put it on the PC, 348MB download and you must have SP1 installed first as SP2 dosn't have all the files from the previous update - Bear this in mind as it could add considerable time to the job.
Download took just over a minute which isn't too bad, installation was finished when I came back from the pub so I didn't time that, unless a two mile walk and three pints can be classed as a measure?

Anything broken? Well nothing as yet, all seems to be fine - Mike

Yes. But the 348MB download got me confused, mine only downloaded about 60MB then went through the install process. Presume that if you keep up to date with the normal updates then it only downloads what's needed. All seems okay Laughing

I have been watching the Vista forums and the reception is good. Typically the installation is taking about one hour with upto three restarts.

All seems to be okay as I said before. My download arrived via Windows Update, so not sure what the fixes are. But here is a comment from another web site:

No major issues reported across several forums so did the SP2 update, like Pocketgps it also took 45 mins with 2 re boots.

First attempt failed. My AV reported Mal/MDrop-Gen. Not related, looks like a dose I picked up previous and sprung to life during the installation activity.

There is nothing that stands out so far apart from the changes to bluetooth devices in the control pannel.

Boot time and general speed are the same.

Two fixes listed are the Zone Alarm and Spysweeper integration with email accounts. SpySweeper for me is still broken for email attachments.

Resuming wireless from sleep was only ever an issue for me when using a remote VPN connection to my employers server. I will reinstall and try this again soon.
