Am I right in thinking that on a 940 I can only play iPod content via the car radio and not on the TT speaker ? _________________ Tony

I played iPod content on my 740 speaker just this morning. I have issues with the volume of each (turning up the main volume to hear the podcast made the instructions too loud), but it did work fine. |

My problem was I didn't have speaker preferences set appropriately. I see what you mean about mismatched volume with driving instructions. Incidentally, is there any way of turning off driving instructions but leave the iPod playing, cos otherwise the ability to play the iPod is rendered useless. Actually ISTR this has come up before and one has to create a silent voice or something. _________________ Tony

Not on your model....
The "Silent voice" was necessary on older machines and software, but you should have an option in Change Preferences/ Voice Preference/Disable voice, which leaves all other sound running. |

So it does thanks. They finally seem to have got things right with the 940. _________________ Tony
