Hi,

Possibly a dumb question - where / how do I access the Mcguider Assistant? is this something you get with Mcguider 2009 (I'm still running the previous version), or...?

Thanks

Chris

It is part of McGuider 2009 and can be found on the SD Card. There is no update mechanism for 2008, and in fact my enquiries before purchasing 2009 told me that there would be no upgrades to 2008 programs and maps.

Thanks for the info, I suspected that was the case. I probably will upgrade at some point, just haven't got around to it yet.

Cheers

I certainly refuse ever again to buy McGuider. I object strongly to paying for a piece of software which is so riddled with bugs that it warrants a corrected (well sort of!) reissue only six months later and to be told that If I want the version that actually works then I must pay all over again.

No thank you!!

If you have that many issues with the previous version, take it up with your supplier. I found 2008 to be largely stable, but just didn't do everything how I would of liked. So in my case there is nothing wrong with the original version.

Also remember that you are getting the latest maps for the whole of Europe for only £59.99. Looking at it that way, the upgraded application is a benefit of updating your maps to the latest version.

Hi

I want to update the maps on my Looket G8 and I believe the McGuider maps work with the device. Can you point me in the right direction for the latest maps please.

They aren't available seperately but only as part of McGuider. Also the activation code appears to have changed between ver7.70 and 7.71.

You could try contacting support@sygic.com to see if they can help with updated maps for your Looket if you are unable to get anything direct.
