During the installation process I get two warning messages relating to overwriting files......The file Windows\ttnrstwzd.htm is hidden, read-only, or a system file. Would you like to overwrite the existing file? I get the same message for ttrunwzd.htm. So I did overwrite them thinking this was part of the set-up process. They must be something to do with the TomTom Wizard?

The setup then proceeds all the way to the final page where it says it will reset the 2210. Then the HP page shows the blue bar as the unit resets and it then hangs in that state as the blue bar gets to the right side. All the buttons are dead and a hard reset is the only way out.

I restored all my files and tried again, this time not replacing the above files and I have the same result. I've tried both the zipped and .exe files from the TomTom site. Looks like a reinstall from CD is needed.....unless anyone can help?

I had no problems with 3.03 and my 2210 - the install did do 2 resets but no problems - I also replaced a couiple of files - make sure that the only app running is activesync.

It may well be quicker to make sure all your data is up to date and backed then do a hard reset and reinstall.

i had problems updating 3.03 on my 4150.

it keeps rebooting at the updating gps driver part.
maybe because i down graded from 3.02 driver to 2.xx so i could use my BT gps with other apps.

i will do a hard reset when i get home and try the update again.

where is all the poi data stored? with the maps?
if so i will be ok - just didnt fancy adding everything again Sad

I am also having problems upgrading from 3.01 to 3.03 using an iPAQ 4150.

I've had the constant soft reset issue after the GPS upgrade (from 2.07) and also the maps not found error (from GPS 3.02).

Currently have gone back to TT 3.01 and GPS 2.07 having done a hard reset and a back up restore.

Any clues?

Steve.

Having earlier today done the upgrade, I was thinking, great, missing places are now back on teh Map.
My joy was short lived.
The inbuilt Bluetoothof my iPAQ h2210 will not work!!!!

I haven't decided where to go next, as I am going away tomorrow (by car) and need the use of TTN3. Obviously I cannot now use Traffic!!

i also had problems when installing the 3.o3 patch.
it installed fine but when it rebooted it stayed at the loading screen with the progress bar all the way to the right side
no buttons working or life from the screen

ended up doing a hard reset and doing a restore form backup

then tried again and all is now working fine

I read that the new version (3.3) fixes the problem with the ipaq 2210/bluetooth on ROM 1.10. I have version 1.00.
Maybe the people who are having problems have the older version of the ROM?

Can people say which version of the IPAQ ROM they have please.

thanks,

ziggar - looks like you had identical problems to me except you got it to work second time around. Were you using a 2210 as well?

On mine after the upgrade the London and South East maps worked but the UK did not worl properly. It would crash or exit TT after doing a UK search. I deleted the Great_BritainNavigatorSettings.cfg file and everything worked.

I thought maybe the file had become corrupted in the upgrade and tried an old backup of the file made prior to the upgrade and the same problems occurred again. This also happened on the upgrade to traffic. There must be some part of this file that the different revisions could not handle.

Well, whatever I did to try and install the upgrade on top of the existing program has failed. So it was back to a hard reset and reinstall 3.01 from the CD. This time the upgrade worked and I have now have 3.03 up and running.
