Hi

Please help!

My wife has a NUVI 660FM PND, as a treat I thought I would buy her a traffic receiver GTM21.....All smiles when she opened the box, but sadly the smiles turned to a frown, as she discovered that the GTM21 did not fit any of the connectors on her 660FM.

Question: where should the GTM21 plug into. Her 660Fm has a 10 Way connector under the flap (The GTM21 has much smaller 18 Way connector)or a mini USB socket.

I feel it must be me that is being stupid!....Can anyone please advise me where I am going wrong? Hopefully, with your help I can get the smile back on her face.

Thanks

The Earl

Hi and welcome.

On the 760 the GTM21 plugs into the right hand side of the mount, however i'm stuggling to find pictures of the 660 connectors.

Did you get a new mount with the TMC unit?

Page 2 of the manual here shows the TMC being plugged in underneath the mount. Does that help?

Hi

Thanks for that, I was trying to plug it in to the Nuvi 660fm itself not the mount! I said that it was probably user error.

On checking in her car I discover that she already had a GTM21....!!! So although it works ...she can hear the traffic alerts in Stereo!!! I shall have to try and return one for a refund.

Cheers

The Earl

I wondered why you were buying one as my 660 came with it.
