Hi

I am looking to get the new ipaq H4700 when/if it comes out mainly due to the VGA display and have a couple of questions about TT3 and VGA.

Does TT3 work in VGA mode on the current PPCs (e800)?

If it does do you get more info in the screen or is it just QVGA stretched to fit on VGA?

When running traffic can you see the eta info AND traffic location 'bar' at the same time?

TIA

marjon

TomTom has been tested on the e800 and currently you get VGA resolution with the downside that all the screen dialogues and information areas are very small.

You can expect an update to correct this once WM2003SE becomes prevalent.

Thanks for the quick response

Are there any screenshots of TT3 running on the e800 available, so I can see how small the info displays are. Just in case no update for TT3 on 2003 SE arrives in time for the bulk of the new/updates to PPCs (hopefully in the next 2-3 months)

I normally run my PPC apps using small fonts anyway so it may not be an issue for me.

GpsPasSion ran an article a while back, it's in French but the screenshots are self explanatory, see here.

Thanks again Darren

Looks like VGA info size will not be a major problem (for me anyway). Hopefully it will be handled a little better on 2003 SE.
