My appologies if this sounds foolish but how do you make POI visible on the map view. I am unsure if you can view these on this unit but having read the other forums it seems as if you can view on other makes of Sat Nav. Any info would be of help

I also have a nuvi 300.

POIs are not visible when navigating a route - only if selected as the destination. I think that the map would be rather cluttered if they were all shown.

When looking for the location of a preloaded POI however if you first select the POI from the menu and then select "show map" you will see it's location.

When looking for the location of a custom POI first select from menu and then select "map".

I hope that this is what you were referring to in your question.

Chris

The ability for Nuvis to display POIs on the map screen seems to depend on the model. Older models such as the 3xx series can't display them as you drive but later models such as the 7x0 and 7x5 series can.

I dont know if this is relevant but on my 2720 which is really old tech the inbuilt POIs dont show unless you zoom in quite a lot then they all sudeenly appear. Worth a try to see if they pop out of the woodwork as you keep zooming in !
