No it won't work, you would have to change the phone to a more suitable platform such as one using the S60 Symbian OS or MicroSofts WM6 or WM6,1 based - Mike

I beg to differ, the two products you mention are about the worst in terms of GPS and navigation related applications. Apple don't even want software developers to use the built in GPS for navigation on the iFone so its never going to be much use for this purpose. Until very recently there has been very little Navigation related applications for BlackBerry, but there is some movement in the right direction at long last.

Windows Mobile either PPC or SmartPhone versions are probably the best supported in terms of decent applications, and the Nokia Symbian based devices also have quite good availability of applications. - Mike

Look at amazegps.com, it shows the Samsung u600 as being compatable the maps are downloaded as free apart from data charges, although these are expected to be internet downloadable on next release in approx 3 months, if no internal gps then bluetooth gps reciever will be needed.

ps: It appear to offer a fully functioning navigation system.

Mike,

what I mean is Tomtom has iPhone-ready version of its famed navigation software ready for release.

We all are hoping that Apple will soon give licenses to 3rd party applications. Once it's done, iphone will be the best mobile phone with GPS application....
