After reading Tom-tom’s reply to your cry for help I have never heard an explanation so ludicrous. I too have contacted them again and I suppose I will get a reply along the same lines. Where do we go from here?

My Gawd! You are in front of me. I have just had a reply from Tomtom asking me again for my setting/configuration. I have by now sent them all the information that I possess, including any tattoos, birthmarks weight at birth and my sexual leanings. Soon, they will also be passing me on to their 2nd line technical department.
I do wish I had stayed with a paper map and compass.

Guess what? Yes, they have sent my question to their 2nd line technical department. Now we are both in the same boat.

I have a strong feeling that they will not find out what’s wrong and what the final outcome will be I cant imagine.

If they gave me the choice I would take a refund and purchase a new map autumn.

Hi Trevor,

Well, I followed up on my post in the other thread, and sent an update asking if there is any reason why they cannot add the latest maps to my account seeing as I am a member of their update scheme, and its their servers at fault by not issuing me with an auto update.

I sent this yesterday (Sunday), guess what no reply as yet. Mad

Aside from the grief we and others are having it appears to be to good an offer to pass up. Not only do you get 4 x map upgrades per year, but is a lot cheaper than buying 1 x upgrade per yer.

At last,

I am at this moment in the process of downloading 815 maps.

I have just rebuilt my laptop as it was sooo slow, and when I re-downloaded TTH from TT site I realised it was a new version (2.5).

Not sure if that had anything to do with it but when doing an update I was offered the map. All seems resolved, so now to see what it up with ref: to other posts here.

When I had the thing telling me to download old maps before, I just downloaded them, then it offered me the new maps

Seems to me it needs to se the older maps before it looks to newer ones

Mmm! Tomtom’s flagship is ‘Home’ and they are very proud of it too. However, only they appear to think that it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, we know better.
So, ‘Home’ should know that I have paid for the new maps and therefore it should show me the latest map and the opportunity to download it. I have tried everything possible to get ‘Home’ to do so but with no luck. I am still waiting for their helpline to get back to me.

Still no update I see.

Did you try what I did in asking them to update your account manually, it seemed to work for me, though I have still not received any notification from them.

Yes, for some unknown reason the update now shows on ‘Home’. Why? Gawd only knows.
However, I will download and see what happens.
