Is it possible to transfer a valid quarterly MapUpdates subscription from a TT930 to a TT940? _________________ TT GO 1005 |

TomTom told me they can not transfer the subscription as I paid for a quote based on the age of the map on my TT720. _________________ Navman Pin to TomTom Go to Go 300 to Go 720 to Go 730 to Go 540 Application 8.024 (9718/081105)OS:232962 GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5106 United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland Map. |

That's unfortunate. I was hoping they would accept a transfer when comparing say the 930 and 940 and both maps were upto date at the point of transfer. _________________ TT GO 1005 |

That's a bit rich. Surely, given the fact that the new x40 has only just been released, it should contain maps which are newer than those of the x20/x30, and would therefore be cheaper than the existing subscription? Unless you were also trying to migrate to a different map? |

I agree it's unfortunate. My 920 is one of those with the stuttering problem. I might have thought of upgrading to a 940 but, having recently paid for the update programme, I am not going to throw away what I paid for that. I'm certain I wouldn't get much more on ebay for one with updates over one without. |

So what happens if the machine you bought the subscription for breaks or gets stolen?
We could really do with some clear guidelines from TomTom about what you can and can't do.
On a similar note, In the old days it was possible to transfer a map from one device to another (under strict conditions, using the activation code system at www.ttcode.com).
Is it still possible to transfer a map under ANY circumstances? |
