Can anyone definitively tell me whether the Haicom 204 works with a Toshiba E400 ?

Although they sell an "E400/E800" cable for the 204, I've read various reports saying the supplied drivers won't install, that the 203 works but the 204 doesn't, etc, etc, etc.

Is there anyone out there that can say 100% one way of the other that this combination will or won't work ?

Alternatively, what GPS will work with a E400 ???

BTW, this is for a mate of mine who's just bought an E400 for £80 new in the Dixons sale... Now I know why it was only £80, it has to be about the most incompatible PDA on the planet as no one except Haicom seem to make cables that talk to this thing !!!... He only want's it to run TomTom.

Many thanks... Steve

I have just purchased the HI-204S from Haicom complete with the lates TomTom software and it works 98% ok with my E400 PDA.

Some times I have to reboot the PDA because the software seems to hang.

Apart from that the system works well and the navigation is as good as any I have seen.

Hope this helps

Just to follow up, the Haicom 204 and Toshiba E400 work just fine together, once you suss that the Tosh wants to use Com2. Also, the TTFF of the Haicom is consistantly under 30 secs even after being left unpowered for a week.

I have this exact set up E400 with Haicom 204s, i am having problems lately can you guys lets me know what driver for TomTom you use with the E400?

My problem is on another thread so will not go into that here, but have tried a couple of different drivers and my 204S is very hit and miss.
