Mike, I have the audio volume set to max everywhere I can for the app. It just isn't high enough when compared against other applications installed on my phone.

I fully agree with you the volume on the PDA seems low, although so far three of us are all using the same PDA phane with the same issue - I would like to try it on another device to see if it is software or hardware related, but like you have also said other applications sound fine on the Orbit-II - Mike

Out of interest, which version did you download? I followed the advice on my first email which suggested using the HTC Kaiser version for the Touch Cruise (which the Orbit 2 is a clone of).

I just did as the e-mail suggested so we both have the same version of software installed - Mike

I might try one of the other Windows Mobile based phone versions - maybe the XDA Orbit or HTC Diamond. Unfortunately I have yet to hear anything back from Telmap about this (though to be fair I only sent the enquiry this afternoon)

Volume is fine on the Nokia N82 and adjustment can be made using the Vol Up/Doen key on the phone. Tomorrow, I will see if I can play music or an Audible audioook at the same time as navigating.

Will report back later.

Did a nice long journey into Raynes Park from Stevenage in a pool car, and had no arguements with the volume on my N95.

However getting into my own car for the trip home i had no sound at all.

On closer inspection the phone had connected to the Bluetooth Audio functon on my stereo and was using that to give directions.

This is all very well but i was listening to the radio at the time!!

Looking through the options in Telmap there does not appear to be a way to tell it not to use BT audio.

The only way to stop it was to switch off the BT on the phone or stereo, which of course switched off the BT car kit too, which is why i got the stereo in the first place.

Either there needs to be an option to stop Telmap using the BT audio feature, or to use the BT phone connection to interrupt whatever is playing on the stereo in the same way as a phone call does.
