....and another for them?

I drive past a police station every day and have always been "amused" by the way they park their cars - both patrol cars and their own private ones.

They leave them however they like, on double yellow lines, with two wheels up on the pavement, blocking pedestrian routes, obstructing the view on corners etc. (and it's certainly not while on emergencies).

So, I had to laugh.... do you think the recent council crackdown on illegal parking near schools has had any effect? Wink

Sorry for the blurry picture, I had to be quick because apparently taking a photo of a badly parked police car is now enough to get you detained and questioned under anti-terrorism laws! (at least in Portsmouth Evil or Very Mad )

They wouldn't have detained and questioned you for parking on double yellows to take a photo? Laughing

and there's no law against posting pictures with registration plates on display, posting pictures of police officers, or is there anything wrong with this photo. You took it in a public place, and the car was on public display.

You can only be arrested under the terrorism act if the officers believe you to be engaged in acts of terrorism, and have intelligence (!) to that effect. Not just because you are taking pictures, that would be wrongful arrest. Nor can they force you to delete images, in fact, that would be the destruction of evidence, an offence in itself.

And the good news is that they will then apologise and offer you £1500 compensation,That is after they have charged you with Assault on a police officer and being drunk and disordally.
