Who can be the first to work out what is wrong with the following joke received via e-mail?
The joke is worth reading but where and why is it flawed?
A man in a hot air balloon realised he was lost. He reduced altitude and shouted to a man below:
Balloonist: I wonder if you can help me? I am on my way to friends but seem to be lost
Man on Ground: You are in a hot air balloon, hovering 40 feet off the ground. You are between 40 and 41 degrees north and 59 and 60 degrees west
Balloonist: You must be an engineer.
Man on Ground: I am, how do you know?
Balloonist: Well, everything you said is technically correct, but your information is no use, I am still lost. Frankly you have not been much help so far.
Man on Ground: Ahh, you must be a Manager.
Balloonist: I am, but how do you know?
Man on Ground: Well, you don't know where you are or where you are going. You have risen to where you are due to a large amount of hot air. You expect me to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly in the same position you were before we met, but now somehow its my fault!!. |

Will have to make the next one harder to spot! - you should have seen the e-mails I got back having pointed that fact out to the entire distribution list! - Mike |

Perhaps should have put quotes around the man on the 'ground'.
I assume that you are winding me up and have actually checked where the lat/lon of the question takes you.
Of course you have silly of me to think it might be a possibility that you havn't |

So that's the joke? That it's in the middle of the sea? Can someone explain why I should laugh? I've been struggling to "get it". _________________ Dennis
