I hope this is the right place for this.
I was wondering if anyone knows of voice warnings in kilometres?
I'm off to italy and was hoping for more than the standard noise's on an TT700

Just a quick official note of gratitude to both Mike & Dennis.
I've got the 720T up & running with Oggs/Ov's & all manner of things!!!
I've run it through demo mode & 'known' camera sites are being flagged up nicely!!! Smile
Dennis, I've noticed that the VW Passat icon appears to be a silver colour with a taxi plate on the back (??).
I'll sort out a digi image of a nice black passat asap!!! Laughing

Kind Regards
DaveN

Apologies if this has been asked already but I've looked right through this thread.

Are there european speed zoned .ogg files anywhere please? I can only see a single file version.

Currently I've started typing a warning for each type of camera but that will take an age. You can't do it through HOME and there is no copy and paste then edit facility on the device.

If I do carry on and type them in, will I have to do it again when I update the european database?

We don't currently have a Speed Zoned Euro Set but are in the process of having one recorded.

I downloaded the european single file to go with the Kate single file .ogg european camera alerts. Am I missing something? The database has 2 files called pocketgps_eur_pmobile, the ov2 file & the bitmap file, and the two for pocketgps_eur_sc.

But the "Text to Speech Kate Euro camera alerts" folder has 41 files:
pocketgps_eur_gatso_20.ogg to pocketgps_eur_gatso_130.ogg;
pocketgps_eur_gatso_tba.ogg;
pocketgps_eur_gatso_var.ogg;
pocketgps_eur_mobile_20.ogg to pocketgps_eur_mobile_130.ogg;
pocketgps_eur_mobile_tba.ogg
pocketgps_eur_redlight.ogg
pocketgps_eur_specs_20.ogg to pocketgps_eur_specs_130.ogg
pocketgps_eur_specs_tba.ogg.

I understand that the ogg file has to have the same name as the ov2 file, so these cannot work together can they?

Could the "Kate" alerts have the wrong icon, as they seem to correspond to the speed zoned files except for the pmobiles?

Indeed they are speed zoned and have the wrong icon associated with them Embarassed

I have now renamed them and corrected the icon to avoid future confusion, sorry.

Just to confirm, there ARE Euro Speed-zoned alerts from "Kate" in the collection.

The issue was I had used the 'Single File' Icon for these alerts when they were in fact speed zoned.

We don't have a single file version which is what Calomax either expected or was after.

Thanks Darren, it was the speed zoned voices I was after. I had only downloaded the single file ov2s to use with what I thought was the single file voices. I've now got both speed zoned so all is well. Smile

Ah understood, apols for the confusion, I had re-jigged the page a few weeks back and the error which was all my doing must have crept in at that point Embarassed

Hi

I have downloaded Mullet's excellent SpeedZoned "Liz version 2 voice only" and "Liz version 2 pmobile" files and converted them to mp3 for my Garmin 350.

I also took the chime from AndyP2002's "Simon with Polite chime 2" files and inserted in front of Liz's voice.

I think it sounds great but maybe a bit long-winded for some Laughing

Would it be possible to upload them to you? If so, where?
Am I treading on anyone's toes by doing so? Please say, I've only just started here.
