I have speed zoned alerts, with voice files giving sppeds etc. I reloaded the latest speed cameras last night and renewe3d voice files...still doing it.Have 4GB SD in slot with Europe maps and the mp3 files.
Has anyone else come across this .

it's been covered before and i think the solution was to use wav files instead of mp3's for the spoken alerts.

a quick search may find a more accurate response though!

I reported this to GARMIN a few weeks ago. They told me to reset my unit - which I did knowing it wouldn't fix it! (And it didn't Twisted Evil ). Even after a couple of updates to the firmware it's still the same. They don't seem to acknowledge it as a fault so the more people who report it may get it back on their radar hopefully. Please log it on their website.

Yes - you can go to WAV files but the .POI file get significantly larger and it's simply not as elegant! If you have a burning desire to listen to MP3s from the nuvi then .WAV is the only way to go at present. Use something like AUDACITY (free S/W) to do the conversion - remembering to keep the file names as they were.

I just put the MP3s onto CD and play them on the car radio. The nuvi is positioned so that screen is noticable at the side of my vision (it's mounted below the windscreen level on the dashboard). The nuvi is also plugged into the radio - primarily for hands-free phone use or for navigation in towns I'm not really sure about. So I can't have navigation/warning sounds AND MP3 at the same time - unless I unplug the nuvi - but it's volume is not sufficient. My hearing is starting to deteriorate due to age (closer to 60 than 50) and years of playing bass guitar in bands (folk / rock) for fun). I thought about building/fitting a primitive mixing unit into the car dash to allow for multiple connections of this sort (iPod etc) but I think it's a little over the top - but one day - when i'm really bored....

Garmin are aware of it. They introduced this fault to the Nüvi 3xx series after they had been told about it on the Nüvi 6xx series!!

(Also, an Italian contact of mine received a reply from Garmin Italy, to say that they weren't going to fix any of the outstanding 3xx series bugs - which I found fairly astonishing. I don't know if that also applies to the other ranges.)
