Good Morning Folks.

I have just purchased a new TT520. It has the capability to play MP3's via a built in transmitter over my vehicle stereo.

Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to use an SD card to store the MP3's that I want to use, and if so how would I do this?

The limited memory on the TomTom leaves little room for music.

Take your blank SD card and create a folder called "mp3" (without the "") and it MUST be lower case, put your mp3 music files/ folders into the mp3 folder on the SD card, insert card to TomTom and enjoy the music - Mike

One little thing to be aware of....

The TomTom uses the ID3 "tags" stored in the mp3 file itself to organise its index of songs/artiste names/albums etc. NOT the folder structure.

If any of these tags are missing or simply wrong, you will get all sorts of odd doubling up and misfiling of songs not in albums etc. I know I did!!

Programs like iTunes have "tag editors" built in so you can sort out the "funnies" but it can be quite confusing for a while!
Better to get them all sorted before you add them to the TT.
Of course, if the mp3s have all been made or downloaded with iTunes or similar in the first place, you'll probably be OK.
