|
|
Today's Deal Of The Day comes from Expansys, a Navman B10 Bluetooth GPS and more importantly a SiRFStarIII one at that.
The B10 is a fully fledged BT GPS with BT class 2 interface, integral rechargeable battery and small 63mm (H) x 41mm (W) x 17mm (D) size.
Expansys currently have these on offer at £19.95! Now that has to be a bargain! Navman's B10 spec page can be found here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

It outputs the standard NMEA output so it will be fine with a PDA running GPS based software such as Google Maps- Mike |

Mike, (or anyone!), have you any experience of this particular model? My brother is thinking of getting one and I can't tell from the manual whether it has a "hard" power switch or not. The manual says Quote: | To turn on: Slide the button towards ON.
To turn off: Slide the button away from ON | In my opinion buttons don't slide, they depress!
He would want to be able to leave it connected to the car's power and have it switch on and off with the ignition, rather than having to dig it out of the glove box to press the button to switch it on. _________________ Jock

It has a switch, not a button, and will remain on as long as the switch is in the "On" position. Provided it's connected to a power supply, it will also remain charged. I've never run it down completely but would imagine that even from flat it will switch on again when a supply is present. _________________ Tim |

And the answer is, "Yes". With the battery removed and the unit plugged into a mains charger, my Nokia N95 still finds it. It also uses a slightly larger version (thicker) of the battery in my Nokia 6230i, so betteries should be in reasonably plentiful supply. _________________ Tim |
