external antenna without a cable???

I've got an ipaq RX5935 pda running tomtom6.1,
this pda is known for having an insensative gps antenna, and the solution for most it to stick a remote antenna on the roof of the car.

But i want to use this unit on my motorbik and handheld when geocaching.

Rather than get an antenna and glue it to my head, is there a gps antenna that will plug straight into the mmcx connector on the side of the pda?like a rubber ducky wifi antenna style??

Failing that, is there a really really rally high sensativity external antenna on a short cable (1.5 meters max) so i can make up a geocaching baseball cap with the antenna fixed to the top, run the cable down my arm and have my pda on a body mount on my arm? or are all gps antennas equal nowadays?

i want one that will work well in the woods where the built in antenna is useless... even a tall building kills the signal to the built in antenna.

I gather some folk have got good results with external antennas bought off ebay. Haven't tried it myself on my rx5935.
