Sorry if this has been covered but I have done a search without success, I have a TT one version 1 in my posession (my sisters) that has lost its abilty to play voice commands, I have checked the obvious volume prefs or mute, im guessing this is a hardware issue and im sure ive seen this posted before.

Any ideas?

Regards

Dave

Firstly have you tried a RESET?

That sorts most problems like this.

If not, what do you see when you go to CHANGE VOICE in the CHANGE PREFERENCES pages of the menu?

If the voices are missing, you can re-download them using the TomTom Home utility.

Hi Andy

Yeah tried all that I have now confirmed that its the external speaker that has gone down as headphone jack is ok, so she is just gonna get a small external speaker and plug that into the headphone jack

Might also be worth 'wiggling' a headphone jack in the socket. As inserting a headphone or other external speaker disables the internal speaker this could be a cause. Sometimes a gentle wiggle of the socket with a headphone plug etc can restore normal service.

Ahh, I remember now, the speaker dying is a "standard fault" on the One Original.

I think SatNav Shop (run by "Eldar" on here) keeps them in stock.
