Does anyone know what is happening with the provider of TMC data to Garmin units - I noticed that ITIS are now the (or a?) provider of traffic data to Garmin. Given that my 360 came with a lifetime subscription to TrafficMaster does this mean that
a) my TMC is going to go away (doesn't seem very likely)
b) there will be no change as TrafficMaster will continue to be my supplier
c) there will be a free trasnsfer to ITIS
d) I will have to pay an additional fee to ITIS (if small no real worries)

Many thanks

MIles

Do you have a nüvi 2x5? The iTIS deal only applied to that product range as reported by me back in March of this year here.

Ah sorry about that - I missed the range specific bit. Seems odd though - to have one partner for the new 2x5 range and another partner for the other ranges...

It is odd, perhaps Garmin are testing the water to see who's data is better or perhaps iTIS offered them a deal they couldn't refuse!
