Hi
Searched through a lot of the forum and although i see info on how to turn down the volume to whatever voice you have set for directing you whilst using your sat nav, i have camera's (speed zone complete) and these are set as spoken warnings setting them as my POI , is there a way
to adjust the volume on them and leave your normal sat nav volume as it is?

What i was looking to do was have my normal voice set reasonably high, and the volume on the spoken camera warnings set slightly lower, so i can hear my normal voice and have the camera ones down a little.
Not a problem if it can't be done, i just thought that the spoken warning alerts are louder and gets a bit much when you are on top of a few cameras in the motor.
Any info appreciated
Kind Regards
Slimsta

The only way you could do this is by editing the ogg warning sounds and reducing the sound level for each warning before re-installing the spoken alert files to the device.
A lot of time and effort has gone into making the spoken alerts as loud as is possible without distortion, an audio editor such as Audacity would be capable of doing this on the PC - Mike

Hi Mike,
thanks for the prompt reply, i'll leave it as it is and just turn the volume down a little, its not a biggy, i was just trying to reduce the alerts volume a little.

Thank you slimsta!
Usually people moan that they can't get them louder than the navigation voice, and I've struggled to get them as loud as I can!

As Mike says, if you DO want them quieter, you can load them into "Audacity" (or any sound editor that can handle .ogg format files) turn them down a bit and re-save them.

I've been campaigning for ages to get TomTom to introduce separate volume controls for the alerts etc. so if you were to e-mail them and have a moan about it.. it all helps!
