Also... WHAT IS your device? There have been previous reports of v. early models on old software not being recognised by Home 2. If that is your situation, try home v1.6 available from the same page. |

Thanks Gerry for taking the time to anser my post. My pc recognises my tomtom as a removable device (1 seen) and the tomtom ask me if I want to connect to my pc, but within tomtomhome2 latest version the device menu is ghosted and can not see my tomtom. I also have tried the tomtomhome for the rider as previous post here suggest but still no luck. I do have the tomtom 920t and that connects fine through its bass unit. I would just like to update my old GO classic for the wife. I have tried 2 computers, one with XP the other with Vista both with the same results.
I have connected in the past with the older, first versions of home but I do not now have that computer. I think it may work if I could find the older version of Home, but It 's not on the tomtom web page anymore.
Any advice would be appriciated. |

There are two different versions of Home available from that page:
All Go/ One products = TT Home 2,2,2,83
Rider & Nav 6 = 1,5,106

Sorry, thought that link was v1.6, not 1.5...
Anyway, David, can you tell us what device you have and what software version it is running (tap the signal bars and read the version off the next page) as I still can't see this info anywhere.
Tell us what happens when you use v1.5. |

I am using the original TomTomGo brought 4 years ago and have updated it manually in the past from I think v4 possible v3. It now has I believe v6.154, I am at work now so v6.154 is from memory.
When I use home for Rider & Nav6 the menu is still ghosted for change device so home will not recognise my tomtom is connected. Although it is recognised by my computer and is accessible through Windows Explorer. |

Hi Mike, I have two TomToms which are the TomtomGo (original) and my new TomTom 920T.
I have uninstalled the Rider - Nav 6 version of Home as they would not work for me. Previouse post suggested that i should try them as some people have had success in reconising there TomTomGo (original) with that software.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me. |
