I updated to TomTom Home V2.2.2.83 for my 720, I have discovered that when I select 'Operate my Go' and drill down to my 720's details, I get the following:

App 7.221 (8572/040301) OS:1000
GPS v1.21 Boot 1.0012
Map: Western Europe V710.1561

Have we gone backwards again in this version of TT Home?

Strange.

Because as per my signature strip, despite running the latest versions of Home around at any given time, and upgrading my device as much as my then LMG allowed, I have ALWAYS been, as you can see from my signature, the version numbers etc you now allude to yours showing (but being lower than those in your signature).

So, where did you ever get the details that made up your signature strip from?

I only bought mine two weeks ago, and have run all the various updates in the time since then, and that is all mine ever managed to go up to.

So no idea where you got your signature strip version form mate...

EDIT:

VERY strange - as I just noticed the first poster, xda, ALSO has/had the same version numbers as you do/did, in his signature strip.

So I am MIGHTY confused how you had HIGHER numbers all round.

Weird indeed!

I also however notice that if I use TomTom Home's menu bar option to show system information, it shows my RAMDISKVERSION=20040301

Note the number 2 before the 040301 - so maybe your version would be 1xxxxxx

Otherwise I have no clue!

Oh, and what's the "CurrentFuelPrices" entry in the same "ttgo.bif" file it refers to?

What's that about anyone?

It's TT HOME that shows wrong information. Try the same operation on the device itself stand-alone and you will feel better again. Smile '
Same thing with GPS reception meters. They are always on the top level according to TT HOME.

Darn'nation

I can only suspect, that maybe I DID try this both on the device, AND on the Emulator, but did so when I first got it, and thus both WERE then the same.

As I am sure I checked.

But now, following any updates, as you can see, my signature strip has been amended to show what it REALLY is.

Good old Home giving us totally false info though! Strange given that the ttgo.bif file itself reports the info as seen by Home's Emulator too mind!

To think, all these weeks, with an incorrect signature *Laughing Out Loud*

TomTom Home has always shown the wrong details for your connected device, regardless of what you have it has always shown OS:1000

In the App 7.221 line the details in the brackets refer to the Application version installed 8572/ and after the/ is the date of release. 07-11-21 ie 21st November 2007.

In TT Home version 2.2.1.58, the details shown in Home, were identical to the same as my 720 (see my signature), so something was fixed in that version, or was I just lucky!

What's the question? Laughing

You've got the v705 map. There have been two minor releases since those, v710 and v715.

Got you... Smile
The usual advice is "only if there is something specific that is wrong and annoys you"

I didn't see much change between v705 and v710, but two major (to me) improvements have been made in v715. There also seems to be quite a lot more 3D buildings (around London anyway).

I can look up a specific place if there's somewhere you'd like to check?

Thanks Andy,

There are a few roundabouts missing in Swindon that have been there for some time also wondering if the Blunsden bypass on the A419 north swindon is showing. Apart from that there is nothing specific.

Regards

I have 16GB SDHC in 720 with ALL latest maps. All are fine on 720, but on TTHome, only sees Western Europe 710.1561 and Iberia 715.1689. On 4GB card all are correct. This has been wrong since 28/01/2008. When TTHome went to 2.2 that is when I first had problems. No POI uploads or downloads. Spoke to TT Retail Support today and they are aware of problem and are trying to fix POI issue (apparently). Not too trusting as they thought 16GB SDHC was too large but it works fine on 720. It updated all my TT Speed cams yesterday. Also if I fix map, say on Western and Central Europe 715.1703, the database does not carry the correction through to the other maps covering the same area, e.g. Western Europe v715.1703, 710.1561 etc
So all is not well yet!!!! Crying or Very sad

How about that flyover over the roundabout on the A419 just up from the Swindon junction 15? 51.54029976484428, -1.7225360870361328. Still roundabout or roundabout with flyover (shows on the site cameras map)?

Forget roundabouts in Swindon - you've got more than your share with The Magic Roundabout! 51.562842077672215, -1.7714649438858032.

I have the same issue. My 8gb works for reading but not in TT HOME. The 4GB works everywhere. I think you need to do this painful exercise. Remove the 16gb data to PC. Format the 16gb card in the TT and it will say 4gb. Remove card from TT and then using a modern sdhc card reader format the card again in Windows and now it should say 14.9gb. Recopy data to card and reinsert in TT. Reset TT with card inside and it "should" work fully in Home after that.

I need to do this too, but am too lazy as it works as it in the TT.

Also, when you have lots of map versions and you edit the .pna file to say the build number, eg W&C Europe1561, sometimes Home will not recognize the map to do mapshare update for it.
