You'd have to have a heart of stone not to laugh.....
Personally, I have no issues with the Thin Blue Line (thankless job)...but this incident does display a lack of judgement! |

It's almost as though he was taunting the speed cameras.
...but taking both hands off the wheel is inexcusable - especially when he was on a 999 call and clearly driving above the speed limit (he triggered the cameras, after all) _________________ Andy

AND looking at the camera...instead of the road.
It would be interesting to get Tommo's view. |

Your wish is my command.... !! Sorry I'm a bit late in responding but I fell asleep for a week, honest, you've got to believe me, I'm a copper.
Anyway, getting to the point, this cop is an embarrassment to his force. We as Police drivers have various exemptions permitted in law. The concessions permitting the driving through red lights, exceeding speed limits and some others are purely there so as not to impede our progress, if doing so would prevent us from effectively carrying out our duty.
To speed past a camera with both hands off the wheel giving a thumbs up, is utter stupidity. A member of the public would get a sever rap at court and in my opinion, a Police officer on duty should be made an example of for being such a tw*t.
I like to support my own, but not when you just can't justify what they have done. _________________ Tommo...
