We need to know whether you are referring to PGPSW Cameras, or TTs, as they are handled differently.

"Please can any one tell me what im doing Wrong"

Useing TomTom camera database instead of PGPSW database springs to mind. Wink

This is a favourite old chestnut, repeated many a time....

The TomTom supplied camera database is not handled as a POI (even though the files LOOK like POI files (having an .ov2 extension)

The operating system sees them as a special case and deals with them in the "TomTom Plus Sevices" menu instead.
Once there you can set up warning distances (actually "times") and alert sounds.
You can also submit a new camera location (but not correct a wrong one or delete a spurious one). Make a note of that, you might need it a lot, they have LOADS missing (and no mobile positions)...

Apparently they do have mobiles, Andy, but only downloaded via the subscribed GPRS phone link. It's difficult to tell what it's all like, as they give no information about their cameras.

I still have their original issue cameras on one of my devices and they are really dreadful - both down to missing cameras and cameras where none exist. I haven't had an update, of course, because I don't subscribe. But the "cameras where none exist" are unbelievable - they're all round me on the M5 and M4, temporary roadworks cameras for roadworks which have been finished for a very long time (I'm not talking a few months here - e.g our Temp:21289 was removed in December 2006, but TT still have it). Now I know I haven't done an update, so it is to be expected that the TT database will be old in any new device. BUT that camera was removed nearly a year before any GO720 came to market with the "latest map". You've got the 715 map, if you haven't yet dumped the TT cameras, enable them and demo a run from 51.53776, -1.99075 to 51.51871, -2.05543 to see if it still comes up.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can Browse map to a TomTom Safety camera, so the only way to check is the demo run above. But I'm personally satisfied that anybody cheerfully using the TT cameras is living in an out of date dream world. Even our six month old database was more up to date and I'd hate to be using one that "recent". We know our database is checked, verified and updated constantly, using a robust process. After the A40 fiasco, the TT check and verify process seems flaky.
