it should be set to GPS by default .

The 3xx series have a setting to select, so I'm guessing no for the 2xx series

when garmin launched these at cebit in march last year they did say "they are so simple to use even your granny could use it" so i presume that it is turned on by default and they removed the setting so as not to confse the granny's
