A law unto themselves?

This level of parking looks more like the driver was in a rush to answer a call of nature than a call of duty.

We shouldn't be so hard on them, after all if we were to copy this high standard of parking, we would be awarded First of a £30 fixed penalty or Second of having the car towed away Laughing

sorry gps_fan but if you were in desperate need of police help and you lived in one of those houses would you want them to mess about parking nicely before coming to your assistance?!

without knowing the nature of their call it's impossible to judge why they parked that way. they could have easily pulled up quickly to jump out and chase a mass murderer they'd just seen walking down the street...

Absolutely not, I'd be grateful for them turning up.

If the occupants were in a rush to exit the car, there is also a chance that the car may have rolled after they'd got out

However, it did make me smile when I saw this picture.

I think you were right the first time - a call of nature.

If you look at the sign near the house they are Food Sensitivity Testing, you know what that means? Shocked Embarassed

Food sensitivity gives you diarrhoea, bloating and headaches, i bet he/she was desperate. Wink

Whether you could get away parking the same way though is questionable!

Without knowing more, seeing the rest of the scene etc then any comment is pointless, there could three more units behind the camera, a fire engine, a TA or any number of reasons to explain the image!

Ahhh, let's have them wheel clamped! Twisted Evil Laughing

Seriously though, as Darren says if they are on "Police business" then you could hardly expect them to drive around looking for a pay and display... Wink

Pay & Display?

No - I thought they should be queueing up at the ticket machine to get out of a multi-storey Laughing

Had it just been on the double yellows, fair enough - but what made me smile was the fact that it was also right up on the pavement.

I know someone who somehow ended up with the whole of her car on the pavement during her test - needless to say, she failed

I onc got complimented on my parking by a Traffic Warden. He put a nice little note on my windscreen saying 'Parking...Fine'.

Which was nice. Shocked

The ones you have to watch out for are the stickers that hospitals buy. They stick them to offending cars and you can tell for months later that they once illegally parked at a hospital. Great...!!

Better than a wheel clamp, it's a real pain to remove them even with the help of an angle grinder. Twisted Evil
